Beginning in 2002, White Glove Moving became a highly referred Palm Beach Gardens mover. However, this sprawling signature city, now full of amenities has a much different past. Prior to development, the land that became Palm Beach Gardens (PBG) was primarily cattle ranches and pine forests. A bit west, it was swampland. In 1959, wealthy landowner and insurance magnate John D. MacArthur announced plans to develop 4,000 acres. Surprising, growth was slow until the Gardens Mall was built in 1988. Today, it is home to a number of great features. Geographically, seven miles north of West Palm Beach, PBG is located between Donald Ross Road and Northlake Boulevard.
Firstly, Palm Beach Gardens is one of the top locations in “Florida’s Golf Capital – The Palm Beaches.” Better still, it is now home to the headquarters of the Professional Golfers’ Association of America (PGA). For live entertainment, The Honda Classic, a Florida Swing tour stop on the road to the Majors is played at PGA National Resort & Spa. Moreover, there are twelve golf courses within the city limits.
Secondly, for those who enjoy the open-air there is Downtown at the Gardens. To clarify, this pedestrian only shopping mecca features a collection of restaurants, many of the nation’s finest retailers, entertainment and unique events. If you want to shop indoors, stroll through the adjacent Gardens Mall. Certainly, it is a premier shopping destination featuring such stores as Nordstrom, Saks, and Bloomindales’s. Best part, is it’s exquisite décor. Likewise, The Gardens Mall, PGA Commons, Midtown, Legacy Place, and Downtown at the Gardens collectively create the city’s retail market. Conveniently, they are located on the municipality’s main stretch on PGA Boulevard. Of course, neighboring towns are able to benefit from the amenities of the Downtown district like Jupiter, Hobe Sound, Singer Island and Tequesta.
