Moving This Summer?

Throughout the nation, moving during the summer is the most popular time to move. Locally, there are many reasons for this. For example, the weather is much nicer in most parts of the country during the summer. Also, for families, kids are out of school which makes moving much easier. Of course, moving this summer will be different. Due to Covid-19, there are new safety measures in place that will help families and professionals movers alike. For instance, masks and gloves are recommended to be worn for the overs and the customer.  At White Glove Moving & Storage, portable hand washing kits and  daily truck sanitation are new norms. Yet, the most important take away is that your move can still happen.

moving this summer

As an interstate agent with Bekins Vanlines, we have the privilege of moving people and families into and out of Florida. Due to high demand in the summer, minimum weights for each shipment go up which results in slightly higher charges as a result. If flexible, customers can see a savings if choosing to move before the middle of May or after the middle of September. However, changing dates is not always possible so when it comes to moving this summer here are a few tips.

Firstly, for those doing some of the move yourself, avoid working outside during the hottest part of the day. For pets, choose a cool place for them to stay that’s away from the packing and loading areas. Often, a kennel or a pet sitter’s house are the best options. Also, think about personal hydration and wear breathable clothing. Perhaps the easiest solution, hire White Glove for all the big and heavy stuff and allow yourself time to pack in the mornings and evenings leading up to move day. To do so, an in-home or virtual survey is required as moving this summer will fill up.

Secondly, since demand is high in the summer months, be sure to arrange for your survey ad reserve your ideal dates as soon as possible. Because, with more people booking there are only so many dates available in the month. Please note, this is less of an issue when moving locally throughout the Treasure Coast as opposed to out of state. Additionally, take advantage of special packages from professionals for packing materials. During peak season, big box stores tend to run low on inventory as a result of demand. Therefore, ask how many and what size boxes are suggested when you get your free White Glove survey so you don’t have to guess. Better still, you won’t have to go into an number of stores before moving this summer.

Thirdly, for those moving with kids, we suggest you try to make it fun. Aside from the suggestions below, consider reading to them from a lists of top rated kids’ moving books. Hence, it allows them to see they are not along in the moving process. Consequently, White Glove has launched a summer reading experience; please watch and enjoy. If you want to own this book; here it is.

In conclusion, moving is stressful and the summer heat along with the Covid crisis do not make it any easier.  However, if you plan and communicate with trusted moving partners, you can have a pleasurable experience. Thus, at White Glove Moving &  Storage, we enjoy being your summer moving partner with checklists and more for you to use. As a result, we look forward to performing your complimentary survey and earning the opportunity to  perform your move local or long distance.

Moving Safely During Covid19 While Supporting Our Community

Without a doubt, these are strange times in our world today. Because, moving during Covid-19 is completely uncharted waters. However, as Treasure Coast movers, our White Glove Moving and Storage team feels confident things are adapting well. For example, since the pandemic our professional movers have been practicing all CDC protocols. This includes, portable hand washing kits, temperature checks and deep sanitation of all trucks and our warehouse. Additionally, pre-screening questions have been asked to all our customers and staff daily.  More importantly, gloves and masks have been given to all our employees as an additional layer of protection. As a result, we feel safe to be able to perform moving safely throughout Florida and interstate.

Moving safely during covid-19

As an essential service, our staff has been able to work throughout this crisis. After the first five weeks, the high demand for accelerated real estate closings subsided. Hence, we took those select slower days to do additional training and enhance our facility.  Using some of our most handy men, we were able to paint the entire exterior of our two warehouses totaling approximately seventy thousand square feet in just two weeks. What a wonderful change it is!

moving safely and enhancing our buildings

Next, we were able to team up with the Sunrise Rotary and Vero Beach Flash to participate and be the host venue for the Front Line Heroes parade.  As a respected Sebastian moving company, we participated in their parade at the Sebastian River Medical Center first. Impressively, over 23 businesses and organizations participated. Followed by, staging and photos at our Vero Beach moving and storage facility.  From this location, twenty plus organizations came with their signs and wavers.  Once lined up, the entire parade traveled east then slightly south to the Cleveland Clinci Indian River Hospital. To be a part of it all, was so gratifying. Hundreds of nurses, doctors, volunteers and patients lined up and embraced the support.  Of course, had there had been a horn honking award, our twenty-six foot moving truck would have won. Curious? Please, view the parade exit here.

Additionally, we are proud to have been a part of Truckload of Love. Aligned with the Berkshire Hathaway real estate office in Vero Beach, collectively an entire fourteen foot truck was filled. Inside, were paper products for the Senior Resource Association and food for the Indian River Food Pantry.  Taking place over Mother’s Day weekend, many people dropped off items in a non-contact format.  To be clear, this drive was safe and very rewarding. Hence, many people throughout the area will benefit directly from these efforts.

Truckload of Love

In conclusion, our White Glove Moving and Storage team enjoys the work we do. In all honestly, the new sanitation procedures now in place are a betterment to our movers. Have we had to make sacrifices? Yes. However, we believe that keeping America moving together is vital. In the same vein, by providing discounts and flexibility for moving dates, we are doing our part. Let’s face it, moving is stressful; especially during Covid-19. So, we believe it is our duty to be the best we can be to make moving a pleasure. As always, we wish to support our community and staff by giving how and when we can. In summary, if there is a move coming up, we are here to help you move safely. In the event you have questions, please check out our website or call us at 866-GLOVE10.

White Glove Moving During Covid-19

During these unprecedented times, White Glove Moving & Storage is proud to still offer top-notch moving during Covid-19.  Additionally, we provide packing, storage, delivery and installation services throughout Florida.  Furthermore, for those moving long distance we assist people and businesses relocating into or out of the Treasure Coast area.

That is to say, there are several steps we are taking to help ensure the safety of our employees, customers and their goods. Firstly, we have employee screenings prior to the start of each workday.  For instance, daily checking temperatures and asking questions about how staff are feeling and what exposure they may have had.  Certainly, this helps alleviate concerns customers have moving during Covid-19.

Secondly, we are asking pre-screening questions provided by the CDC to all our customers.  When? Both before a survey and their actual move day. As a result, that helps add a level of comfort to the staff as they leave our facility each morning.

Moving during covid-19

Thirdly, we made our sanitation kits more robust for each truck. Presently, these include gloves, masks, hand sanitizer along with disinfectant spray and wipes.  As a result, our movers wear these items while performing the moves when applicable.  Additionally, the sprays and wipes are used on hard surfaces throughout the day.  Lastly, the trucks are cleaned thoroughly each evening.

As an extra step, we were able to create a portable hand washing station for each Treasure Coast moving truck.  To clarify, these kits include: 3-gallon water filled hard plastic jugs with spigots, sanitizing liquid soap and c-fold towels. Most importantly, hand washing helps stop the spread for those moving during Covid-19.

To summarize, at White Glove Moving & Storage we are an essential service.  In the world at large, real estate transactions are still happening. Throughout our nation, people are  moving locally and into new states. Now more than ever, the need for a professional mover has risen.  For example, folks moving from Michigan to the Treasure Coast of Florida may have thought they’d pack themselves. With the current travel ban, as Treasure Coast movers, we now need to perform their full pack prior to moving day.  Another example,  is that firm hours of operation are in place for several homeowners’ associations. Hence, what we can do in a matter of hours would take regular people double the time. Moreover, renting a truck and trying to find labor for moving during covid-19 is difficult.  Of course, using used materials is unnecessary exposure as well.

In conclusion, with great rates in place and 50 full-time employees along with 15 trucks; we can make it happen.  To adapt, we are offering both in-home and virtual surveys . Plus, we love what we do and we would be honored to assist you. Best wishes to you and yours now and always.

As an Essential Business We are Still Open to Assist

white glove moving

In light of these changing times, at White Glove Moving, we are  considered to be an essential business. Thereby, we are still able to help you or your clients in the moving and storage process at this time.  Additionally, our receiving warehouse is also still open. Therefore, we are able to receive in trucked goods for commercial and residential projects.  Currently, we are adhering to our standard hours of operation.

Furthermore, it is important to stress that in the current restrictions put forth by Governor DeSantis, our services are deemed essential. Henceforth, our team is still able to assist with your moving needs throughout the thirty day shut down. As a result, we will be providing all our normal services; however, our office will be closed to the public.

With decades of experience under our belt, we are proud to be leaders in the industry when it comes to sanitation, cleanliness and professionalism. However, in light of the present circumstances effecting our country, we are taking additional measures. Since being sent the recommended CDC precautions, our teams have been implementing every protocol. Presently, our process includes taking temperatures and having employees who feel unwell simply stay home.  In addition, sanitation baskets have been created for each truck.  Each contain disinfectant wipes, sprays, gloves, masks and portable hand washing stations.  Furthermore, we have pre-screening questions in place for all our clients  before the move or survey.  All these efforts are in effect to help safe guard all our customers, employees and their belongings.

Therefore, it is our greatest wish that you know in these chaotic times our team is here to take care of making your move easy and cost effective. As a nation, we will prevail together. Most importantly, our team, at White Glove Moving, wishes you health and prosperity in these troubling times.

Open for Business, Moving during the Corona Virus

At this time, White Glove Moving & Storage is open and moving during the corona virus. Though military relocations have been halted nationwide, residential moving is still happening.  By using extra screenings from state to state, fellow agents in the Bekins network, along with ourselves, moves are safely taking place. Locally, rest assured, we are observing precautionary measures as recommended by the CDC. This is to insure the safety of our customers and employees. Prior to the actual move taking place, a series of questions will be asked referencing international travel and potential symptoms. Assuming there has been no international travel or symptoms such as fever coupled with respiratory issues, one’s move will take place as scheduled.

It is our goal to be your go-to mover to help ensure the safety of your goods. Whether moving across the street, across the state or across the country, the professionals at White Glove  are here to help. As always, we provide a free in-home survey to address all the questions and concerns of our customers. Thereafter, we work closely with the individuals to ensure they are up to date on all logistics of their move. Some of the top requests include packing materials for those choosing to pack themselves. Also, change of dates when a closing of a home does not go according to plan or construction is not yet ready.

Since 2002, we have steadily been gaining loyal customers and we welcome the opportunity to assist in your upcoming move.  Additionally, our team is proud to be an A+ rated mover for residential and commercial entities throughout the region via the BBB.  In part, because of our ethics to customers, employees and our community. Locally, a number of events have been cancelled. Presently, all functions yielding over fifty people have  also been postponed; at least for the next eight weeks.  It is important that we all monitor the updates and regulations put forth by the center for disease control while also adhering to their suggestions. Fortunately, our team is able to provide top notch service in these sensitive times.  Additionally, we  will respectfully consider all reasonable requests made of our customers as a result. As proud Americans, we are confident this crisis will pass. May our spirits stay high and a sense of unity persist. To setup for your survey or confirm your upcoming move please call 772-778-4750.

3 Years of the Vero Premier Women’s Network

Three years ago, the Vero Premier Women’s Network was born.  Co-founders, VP of Marketing for White Glove, Anna Valencia Tillery and Cheryl Friar of the Florida Premier Women’s Network set forth to create a positive networking group.  From the beginning the rules were simple, “ladies only” fostering their ability to network and public speak.  Since the beginning, Regency Independent Living has been our sponsor venue.  This gorgeous retirement community can seat upwards of 80 ladies in its formal dining room. However, with renovations freshly complete, our growing group has been moved to the ballroom.  Now the space can seat up to 100 women comfortably.  Better still, the gorgeous salad and dessert bar will be in the room with the attendees for ease of serving and keeping the group together.

Over the years, White Glove Moving & Storage has been able to help support the Vero Premier Women’s Networt  by underwriting its hard costs such as website, name tags and signage. Additionally, the premier moving company allows Mrs. Valencia Tillery the ability to spend the time needed each month to promote the event, find speakers, handle reservations, update the website and host the luncheon each month.

Image may contain: Millie Del Grosso, Nicole Haagenson and Anna Valencia Tillery, people smiling, people standing

Like clockwork, the second Friday of each month, ladies start rolling in around 11:15 am. Guests mix and mingle, fill their glasses from the array of teas, infused waters and juices then make plates from an amazing spread. The culinary team at Regency wows the group each month with gorgeous toppings and delightful proteins like chicken, shrimp and salmon. Over a dozen dessert options are also presented. While guests dine, a female speaker presents highlighting topics ranging from personal development to business best practices and healthy habits.  Thereafter, each woman in attendance is able to give a 30 second commercial. These short public speaking moments allow them to promote themselves, special or event.  Once all have had a chance to participate, testimonials are then shared.  This is an opportunity to ladies to say something nice about their experiences with other ladies in the group. The positive messages are weaved in between door prizes that are brought into the meeting by guests so their business can be mentioned again.

After three years, attendance continues to grow and the Vero Premier Women’s Network members are able to continue to bond with one another. Regency continues to be our host venue and has been an intricate part in the overall success of the group.  Presently, the group also helps two local non-profits annually with tangible items they need to be a success. Thus far we have been able to assist: Little Birthday Angels, Gifford Youth Achievement Center, Feed the Lambs Enrichment Program and Next Gen Vets.

In conclusion, for recommendations on speakers or to be included in the monthly emails please contact AnnaV@WhiteGloveUSA.net.
