Sleep Number Bed Movers

The importance of a quality night’s sleep is something that has become a very hot talking point in America. It seems like there are mattress store popping up everywhere! Just like not all movers are created equal, nor are beds.  That is why our White Glove Moving & Storage team set out to earn additional training to become Sleep Number bed movers.  Because in our years of experience, this is the one style of bed that owners will not trust to just anyone to move.

Perhaps it is because of such great features as  IndividualFitallowing Sleep Number® bed adjusts to you, relieving pressure points. For several years in a row this specialty bed has been voted #1 IN VALUE, #1 IN COMFORT, #1 IN SUPPORT & #1 IN FEATURES for J.D. Power. Additional features of these great beds include letting you choose  your ideal firmness, comfort, and support on each side — your Sleep Number® setting in the Sleep Number 360®smart bed. Better still, throughout the night, the bed senses your every move and automatically adjusts to keep you both effortlessly comfortable.  Followed by the next morning evaluating your sleep by checking your SleepIQ® score — with personalized insights for your best sleep.  The bed even provides pre-warming so you can fall asleep faster. Does your partner snore?  Sleep Number 360® smart bed can gently raise your partner’s head to help relieve mild snoring.

In conclusion, with an investment as important as the perfect bed for you and your partner. It does not make sense to trust that responsibility of ensuring its safe transport and warranty with a less than qualified moving company.  As you can see, this bed is more than just a mattress and a box spring. It requires knowledge of the bed and its functions to help make breakdown and reassembly possible.  After additional training in the Jensen Beach store, White Glove Moving & Storage is now fully accredited to make moving your Sleep Number bed along with all your other household items easy and cost effective.  Additionally, when it comes to local deliveries, if the bed is all you need moved, we can do that too.  At White Glove, we are proud to provide top notch quality and ongoing training, becoming Sleep Number Bed movers is just one way we help set ourselves apart from the rest.

Notably, White Glove Moving & Storage is proud to be an onsite sponsor each year.  As professional art movers, we understand the importance of crating and proper handling of all art including those that require additional valuation coverage.

Hurricane Preparedness, White Glove Moving Can Help!

Starting in June, Hurricane Season has begun lasting through October each year.  In the beautiful state of Florida, hurricane preparedness is important  in the event of a hurricane.  Thanks to the Crime Prevention Unit, our White Glove Moving team is happy to provide some useful tips to consider; including stocking up on canned goods during routine grocery shopping.

In the event of a big storm, you will need a minimum of one gallon per day for drinking and cooking. Have at least a seven day supply on hand.  This same rule can apply to any medicines or baby formula.  As the storm comes, be sure to turn your refrigerator and freezer to their coldest settings.  Another great hurricane preparedness tip is to scrub and sterilize bathtubs and all available jugs, containers so they too can be filled with water.

Perhaps one of the biggest threats in a storm are outside objects. If not tied down or picked up and stored, those items can transform into missiles of destruction.  From patio furniture to small motors and toys, White Glove Moving & Storage is happy to help as the storm nears. Our ability to pick up and store items for as little or as long as needed is  an asset to home owners who are seasonal and wish to not return before the hurricane makes landfall. Hurricane preparedness also includes reinforcing the five critical areas: roof, straps, shutters, doors and garage doors.

Another suggestion in  hurricane preparedness is to have extra cash on hand and store all valuable papers, photographs and momentos in waterproof bags or containers.  Before the storm hits and power goes out, be sure to fill up vehicles with gas and stock up on batteries for flashlights as well as bug spray.

Remember, do not touch fallen or low hanging wires.  Pay attention to instructions from official sources and notify them right away of any “live” lines or broken gas/water mains. After power is restored, check food for spoilage.

Know of someone moving or that will be away for the summer? Please share White Glove Moving, Storage & Delivery’s contact information with them so we can secure their outdoor area and bring it into the safety our facility. 772-778-4750

Bound Moving Price vs. By the Hour: Moving Estimates

Moving can be stressful. Getting pricing can be overwhelming. Since all treasure coast movers are not created equal, it is important to figure out what the different terms mean. What is a bound moving price? Is non-bound pricing better for me? What are things to be look for in the moving estimate? Consequently, White Glove Moving and Storage has years of experience in the industry that can help.

Bound pricing: A bound moving price means whatever the price is listed to be; it is. The scope of the work is clearly spelled out and so long as the customer does not change what they need done, the price will remain the same.  Not all moving companies feel comfortable in providing bound pricing.  Mostly because there are a lot of variables that effect how long a move will take. Are there stairs or elevators? Will it rain? Will more packing be needed? What time of year are they moving? However, at White Glove Moving & Storage, we are very comfortable in providing bound pricing with our local moves because it provides a great sense of security to the customer. There are no surprises in the end and everyone can budget ahead of time whether it is financially or in regards to dedicating the right amount of labor and time.

Non-bound: This means that the estimate has been performed and has taken into account all the customer’s wants and needs.  However, the pricing is essentially an educated guess. As a result, the cost of the move can fluctuate. It can go up or it can go down. When customers are still in the downsizing process, plan to have a large sale to sell off unwanted items or may wish to have some furniture go with the sale of the property; it makes sense to have a good idea of cost but not a bound number.

In the end, the price will take into account all travel, labor, materials and fuel. More times that not it is pretty close to the projected price yet instances arise that cause the number to change drastically. For example, as moving day approaches the customer can not find the time to pack as they had hoped. Now the professional moving company needs to perform a full pack, providing all labor and materials. The estimated price will be very different from the final number generated once all services are rendered.

When moving out of state this is a common way to provide pricing. Primarily because weight matters in long distance moves. Each pound will have a direct effect on the final cost, as will the time of year when the out of state move is being performed. For more information on how that works, check out Bekin’s Rights and Responsibilities.

By the hour: There are plenty of times when customers just need help with the heavy lifting.  In that instance, a formal estimate is not needed as it is simply labor that is required. Or if the customer is not available to meet with an estimator, yet can explain or  share pictures of the items; that is another great example of a by the hour price. By the hour is just the labor cost, per man per hour multiplied by the time the job takes and the fuel associated with it.

Most reputable moving companies will provide a formal, in-home estimate at no charge.  This is a necessity when requesting a bound moving estimate. Additionally, no deposits are typically required when it comes to a move being performed by an ethical moving company locally. Nationwide moves differ a bit in regards to payment.  Standard operating procedures are to collect payment prior to unloading the delivery at destination when moving out of state.  Types of acceptable payment include: credit card, cashier check or money order. No personal checks or cash accepted in interstate moves.

For more information about how to understand your moving estimate or to schedule for a complimentary estimate, please call White Glove Moving & Storage at 772-778-4750 to speak with a relocation specialist.

Complimentary formal in-home survey. Best way to get an accurate bound moving price.

Moving Out of State? Why Choose a Professional Mover?

Moving out of state is a comprehensive process.  At White Glove Moving & Storage, we know that there are many steps involved.  Click here for a calendar to help time your steps accordingly.

That is why, aligning with a reputable van line is important to ensure the move is done well. More importantly, with all the necessary checks/balances in place. Hiring less than reputable movers can prove to be a gamble as many “rogue movers” hold items hostage or fail to ever deliver. Mainly because,  they have no one to hold them accountable.  In 2017, White Glove Moving & Storage saw a higher demand for quicker turnarounds in out of state moves.  As a result, we and chose to become a Bekins Agent.  Though they have nearly 130 years in the  industry, it was primarily their vetting process and commitment to excellence that helped our team to make the switch.  Federal regulations can make moving over state lines a bit daunting. Knowing our reputation is the key to our decades of success then and now, choosing Bekins as our interstate agent was a great fit.

Today, White Glove Moving & Storage is proud to share that we have the title, for the second year in a row, of  Spire Award winner. This distinctive award, honors moving companies that consistently provide an excellent interstate moving experience for their customers.

“Our goal as a van line is to focus on our customers,” said A.J. Schneider, Executive Vice President of Bekins. “We’re proud to announce that White Glove Moving & Storage did such a wonderful job of treating people well in 2018 that they have achieved this distinction of quality.”

The Spire Award program recognizes moving companies in the Bekins van line network that deliver a quality experience to customers. A combination of customer feedback and other service excellence performance metrics throughout the moving process factor into the formula for choosing winners.

White Glove’s headquarters are in the Treasure Coast of Florida, yet we perform moves throughout the state. Especially for folks moving into or out of our geographical area.  Whether the move is local to Florida or an interstate relocation through Bekins van lines, the estimate is always free. Our educated relocation specialists are happy to address all questions as they arise.  Our team works with our customers every step of the way. We are proud to make moving easy.  772-78-750
