Proud to be Serving on the Board for the BBB

White Glove Moving, Storage & Delivery is proud to announce that our VP of Marketing, Anna Valencia Tillery, is serving as a director for the board of the Better Business Bureau of Southeast Florida and the Caribbean.  Since it’s founding in 1912, the BBB has been a trusted resource for consumers to vet their potential service providers, retailers and the like with the mission  of “advancing marketplace trust.”

Nearly 400,000 local businesses in North America are accredited by the BBB and White Glove Moving & Storage is honored to be one with an A+ rating.  In addition to our high ranking, we are also the first Torch Award winning moving and storage company.  The award was given in April of 2018 and though rigorous in it’s requirements, showcased some of the best businesses in south Florida for their commitment to ethics in the workplace with employees, customers, vendors and the community at large.

After being granted the prestigious award and becoming familiar with White Glove Moving & Storage, our valuable team member was asked to serve.  Voting went to the entire BBB chapter membership and Mrs. Valencia Tillery earned her seat at the table where she is committed to the process of helping businesses adhere to the BBB standards of:

Nearly 1.5 Tons of Food Raised During the 6th Annual White Glove Moving Holiday Food Drive

The holidays just got a lot brighter thanks to the efforts of over 55 Treasure Coast businesses, gated communities, networking groups, customers and one very driven moving company.  During the sixth annual White Glove Moving holiday food drive, over 2800 pounds of food was collected and delivered to the Treasure Coast Food Bank which equates to roughly 4,700 meals for the 200,000 food insecure families throughout Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin and Okeechobee counties.

Not only did the food drive exceed its goal by nearly a thousand pounds, it also served as an opportunity for folks to discuss the severity of the food needs in our area as the Treasure Coast Food Bank embarks upon its 30th year of helping to fight hunger.

A contest for each county was conducted to stimulate giving.  In Indian River County the winner for most amount of non-perishable food was Cravings and The Beached Whale located on Ocean Drive in Vero Beach who managed to fill entire drums full of food.  In St. Lucie county, Branca Realty stepped up with nearly an entire truck load of goods from bottle water and diapers to canned food. Martin County’s top producer was Florida Non-Emergency Medical Transportation – MTM Inc who collected more than four boxes full of holiday inspired food.  A special thank you to all who participated based on the county.

Hurricane Michael Relief Efforts: It Takes a Village

Hats off to all the amazing residents, business partners and staff throughout the #TreasureCoast area and #IndianRiverCounty for all that was contributed to make our relief effort run to the Panhandle of Florida on October 26th, 2018 a success.  The town of Malone, hard hit by Hurricane Michael, was grateful to receive the thousands of pounds of supplies.  Greeted by the the Mayor himself, the National Guard and other first-responders all hands were on deck, ready to help unload.

“It’s amazing to see what can be done when we all link up to help,” commented Jennifer Toby who  headed up the organizational efforts alongside Marty Zickert of the Veterans Council of Indian River County.  Starting with a phone call immediately following impact, the team at White Glove Moving & Storage was able to send a truck to mobilize to West Palm Beach to pick up several thousand MRE’s for shipment to the Panhandle via commuter planes on October 12th.  Thanks to the generosity of Islamorada Brewery, crews were able to store items there which was close to the St. Lucie County airport to shuttle the “ready to eat” meals to the planes once clearance was given.

From that point, in just two weeks, several thousands pounds of food and supplies were raised by local groups and residents. Honorable mentions must be given to the Community Church of Vero, the Indian River Food Pantry, Remax Associated Realty, Dale Sorensen Real Estate, the Robin Raiff EXP Real Estate Team and Walking Tree Brewery who all went above and beyond to gather supplies that were much needed for the town of Malone.  White Glove Moving once again mobilized a truck and crew, this time driving all the way to City Hall in Malone.  While many roads were open, there was still much devastation and debris everywhere. Many areas were still without power or were operating on marginal means.

“Being in a position to be able to give back and offer much needed help by using our movers and trucks is really rewarding,” remarked Caleb Clements, President of White Glove Moving & Storage.  To date, the White Glove team along with the many wonderful people of our Treasure Coast community raised and moved more than 30,000 lbs of goods to the area. As movers with big hearts, White Glove welcomes the opportunity to assist when available especially to our fellow Florida neighbors.

Should you know of anyone moving and wish to recommend our community, our team would greatly appreciate the referrals as we hope to continually be a resource for folks needing help with the heavy lifting.  Free estimates and more information available by calling 772-778-4750.

Moving is stressful yet there is additional stress to be had when moving with kids. How do you juggle it all and make it fun for your children? White Glove has some great suggestions on how to make it memorable and depending on your kids ages, a much easier experience for both parent and child.

Another great suggestion is to sympathize with your little one through reading.  Here are a few examples of our favorites:

*A House for Hermit Crab by Eric Carle/ Children struggling with change — outgrowing clothes, for example, or moving to a new school or town — will find reassurance in this gentle, original fable from Eric Carle, the creator of The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

*A Kiss Goodbye by Audrey Penn/ Chester Raccoon  is facing another dilemma common to the lives of many children: he and his family are moving.

*Goodbye House by Frank Asch

*Alexander, Who’s Not (Do You Hear Me? I Mean It!) Going to Move by Judith Viorst Illustrated by Robin Preiss Glasser/ When Alexander feels mad or dad he wants to move to Australia. But most of the time he likes it right where he is. So when his mom and dad say that they’re moving a thousand miles away, Alexander decides that he’s not going.

*The Berenstain Bears’ Moving Day by Stan Berenstain &  Jan Berenstain

*The Leaving Morning by Angela Johnson Illustrated by David Soman/ An African-American family moves from their city apartment into a new home, invoking all the joy, sorrow, anxiety, and hurry of moving day.

White Glove: BBB Torch Award Winner for Business Ethics

White Glove Moving, Storage & Delivery, agent for Bekins Van Lines, was pleased to accept the 2018 “Large Company” Torch Award for Business Ethics during the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of South East Florida and the Caribbean’s inaugural awards luncheon.  Companies were nominated by peers in the business community that sought to highlight the high standards of leadership and organizational ethics performed by for-profit entities broken down into small, medium and large categories based on the number of full-time employees.

Each of the 75 plus companies nominated submitted information regarding their ethical relationships with customers, employees and vendors which translates into a high level of trust in the communities they serve.  The rigorous review of true character for each business included a deep examination of how they adhere to the six principles of TRUST.   Winners were chosen by an independent panel of judges appointed for their own commitment to high ethical standards.

“Communicate to Differentiate,” rang true to the judges when selecting White Glove Moving, Storage and Delivery of Florida for their winner in the Large Company category with 50+ employees.  In an industry that often gets a bad reputation for rogue movers and price gouging, it was refreshing for White Glove to be recognized for their efforts to go above and beyond when it comes to customer service, communication and compassion during the often stressful time of a move.  The company’s ability to perform great work, reinvest in its employees and contribute to the community; making it an area families want to move to, live in and be proud of are just a few of the reasons this growing business has repeatedly earned an A+ rating with the BBB, Angie’s List and Home Advisor and is proud to be the first Torch Award recipient for South East Florida and the Caribbean.

In-Home Moving and Short Term Storage Solutions

At White Glove Moving we understand that not all “moving” needs are for taking items from one home to the next. In fact, it is quite common this time of year to need help with the heavy lifting when it comes to furniture and electronics to simply get them out of the way during deep cleaning and remodeling projects.

Whether you choose to have your items wrapped and stored in your home/garage or if you prefer for it all to come into our secure, climate-controlled warehouse, we can make those projects easier by getting it all up and out so the work can be done with no hurdles.

Working with a designer? We love to help designers in projects and be there for them when it comes to properly placing and hanging items. It would be our pleasure to make their vision come to life.

Happy Spring!

We Love Home Owners & Condominium Associations!

Spring is upon us and it is the perfect time of year in Florida to enjoy dining al fresco, stroll about the downtown areas and take in some evening outdoor celebrations.  Along the Treasure, Space and Gold Coasts, folks are here from all over the globe.  Many have a second residence in the area, contributing to the local economy and are proud to call this neck of the woods their home away from home.

Yet in just a few short weeks, they may be making plans to leave to return to their stomping grounds.  While away, many will have renovations and improvements done. At White Glove Moving, Storage & Delivery we can help and will work closely with the designers and property management teams to ensure everything is packed, inventoried and accounted for while being stored in our state of the art facility. Once the work is complete we will bring it all back and place everything as directed or as pictured prior to removal.

For associations, we also offer food drive boxes with free delivery and pickup to benefit the Treasure Coast Food Bank.  When individuals leave for months at a time, food can go bad. Donate it instead with the help of White Glove to make it easy.

For folks looking to do a full move, whether it is from one part of the community to another or one floor to the next, even a complete pack and relocation to another town or state, our team is happy to help with that too.  We work with a number of association and understand the need to follow the rules for working hours, reserving an elevator and more.

Moving, renovating or just want to donate food? Please call White Glove at 866-GLOVE10.

Caleb Clements New President of White Glove Moving

White Glove Moving, Storage & Delivery is proud to announce that Caleb Clements will be serving as President of this growing company established in 2002.

Mr. Clements has served as VP of Internal Operations.  Having graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2005 with a B.A. in Business Management, he brings a tremendous amount of financial and business experience to the leadership of the firm.

With his picture on all of White Glove’s trucks and marketing collateral, it was a natural fit to have him help catapult the company to its next level of success.

Phil DeLange, owner and CEO, is looking forward to a more relaxed role with this transition and states, “Caleb is a great leader and has a terrific vision for how to take us even further while maintaining all our staff that does so well in their roles.”

Mr. Phil DeLange, owner/CEO and Caleb Clements, President

When asked why he was excited to take on this new responsibility, Mr. Clements shared, “Vero Beach and the surrounding area have grown leaps and bounds in the past four years and White Glove has grown right along with it.  With all this company does to better the community and the lives of its employees we are blessed to experience great loyalty from both customers and staff. I know that White Glove’s future is bright and we look forward to exceeding expectations for many more years to come.”

White Glove Moving, Storage & Delivery: The One & Only

With the term “white glove” being used more and more often it can be confusing to identify the service versus a business name.

Merriam-Webster defines “white glove” as:  marked by special care or attention :  meticulous white–glove service.

From high end  home furnishing stores to consignment shops, many businesses offer “white glove delivery” meaning the items are brought inside and placed but not all “white glove services” live up to the White Glove Moving, Storage & Delivery way .

Yes, we fully embrace the White Glove definition in every move we do, yet we are so much more than just another moving company.  We are professional  movers who really strive to make moving easier for our customers. Our team of trained workers genuinely care about the customer’s experience during such a stressful time.  As an agent with Bekins Vanlines, we are able to help folks move into and out Florida doing as much or as little as requested by our customers to assist with moves of all sizes.

Voted Most Trusted Mover every year since 2013, we are proud of the reputation we have for being a community partner and a reliable moving  service that is always reasonably priced, efficient and courteous.  As an A+ rated business with Angie’s List and the Better Business Bureau, we strive to exceed the expectations of our customers and value their referrals and requests. Not all movers are created equal and because we can’t trademark the name White Glove there are other moving companies that sound similar yet  do not live up to the name as much as our team does.  Though we wish all companies with the words White Glove believed in top notch service that isn’t always the case. Our head of marketing, Anna Valencia Tillery explores that topic in this video.

With that in mind, if you are looking for a trustworthy mover to help make your relocation easy whether it is a local move throughout the Treasure Coast or a long distance move either into our out of Florida; we’d love to assist! Please call us today to setup a free estimate and find out how pleasurable and fast your move can be by using  a professional moving company like White Glove Moving, Storage & Delivery.
