White Glove Moving, Storage & Delivery: The One & Only

With the term “white glove” being used more and more often it can be confusing to identify the service versus a business name.

Merriam-Webster defines “white glove” as:  marked by special care or attention :  meticulous white–glove service.

From high end  home furnishing stores to consignment shops, many businesses offer “white glove delivery” meaning the items are brought inside and placed but not all “white glove services” live up to the White Glove Moving, Storage & Delivery way .

Yes, we fully embrace the White Glove definition in every move we do, yet we are so much more than just another moving company.  We are professional  movers who really strive to make moving easier for our customers. Our team of trained workers genuinely care about the customer’s experience during such a stressful time.  As an agent with Bekins Vanlines, we are able to help folks move into and out Florida doing as much or as little as requested by our customers to assist with moves of all sizes.

Voted Most Trusted Mover every year since 2013, we are proud of the reputation we have for being a community partner and a reliable moving  service that is always reasonably priced, efficient and courteous.  As an A+ rated business with Angie’s List and the Better Business Bureau, we strive to exceed the expectations of our customers and value their referrals and requests. Not all movers are created equal and because we can’t trademark the name White Glove there are other moving companies that sound similar yet  do not live up to the name as much as our team does.  Though we wish all companies with the words White Glove believed in top notch service that isn’t always the case. Our head of marketing, Anna Valencia Tillery explores that topic in this video.

With that in mind, if you are looking for a trustworthy mover to help make your relocation easy whether it is a local move throughout the Treasure Coast or a long distance move either into our out of Florida; we’d love to assist! Please call us today to setup a free estimate and find out how pleasurable and fast your move can be by using  a professional moving company like White Glove Moving, Storage & Delivery.

To Tip or Not to Tip?

When it comes to hiring professional movers there are a lot of advantages like:

  1. It is all typically done in a day. Bonus!
  2. There is no back pain or aches to be had by the customer. Ideal!
  3. All you have to do is point and the White Glove team will place so all pieces are in the right spots in the new location.
  4.  You get the pleasure of working with a nice team that is helpful, considerate, patient and well trained.

With those key points in mind, like other service oriented businesses, sometimes tipping can feel like the right thing to do and is always appreciated by those hard working professionals out in the field.  Of course, tipping is not expected and to further elaborate here’s a short video from our VP of Marketing.

Over 3,000 lbs. of Food Raised During Annual Summer Food Drive

In 2013, after learning about the high demand on food pantries and soup kitchens in the summer months when kids were out of school, White Glove through Move for Hunger stepped in to help.   A summer food drive was launched that mimicked the efforts of the holiday food drive by delivering sturdy moving boxes to businesses who wished to participate. Each location committed to one, or more, and were required to fill them with non-perishables.  This year, over forty-five locations throughout Indian River, St. Lucie and Martin Counties participated in the 5th Annual Summer Food Drive hosted by White Glove Moving & Storage.   The goal was to raise 1,000 lbs. of food between May 30th and June 12th this year.

White Glove Moving along with the Treasure Coast Food Bank are proud to report that the goal was exceeded by 3x’s the amount. On June 19th, four full pallets were unloaded off the 26’ foot long moving truck weighing a total of 3,201 lbs. which equates to over 2,667 meals for families in need throughout the Treasure Coast.  To date over 30,000 lbs. of food has been raised since 2013 by White Glove and community partners.

Of course a feat this big could not have been made possible if it were not for dedicated local businesses, networking professionals, realtors and customers moving who took the time to donate their unwanted non-perishable food items to help with the efforts.  A big thank to the following businesses broken down by county.

Indian River County:

Keller Williams Realty, Sea Turtle Real Estate, Hampton Inn & Suites, Holiday Inn Oceanside, Marine Bank in Vero and Sebastian, Decors by Jackie & Palm Coast Development, Nurse on Call, Store Right Self Storage, Caliber Home Loans, GHO Homes, Costa d’Este, Vero Insurance, Lambert Commercial, JM Stringer Gallery, Renaissance Senior Living,  First American Title, Cravings, Beached Whale, Sebastian Insurance, Sebastian Chamber of Commerce, Larocque Realty, Social Cindy, Alexander Insurance, Live Like Cole, Planet Vero and the Vero Premier Women’s Network.

White Glove is Now an Interstate Agent with Bekins Vanlines!

What makes Bekins so great? Unrivaled expertise and a commitment to customer service.

As one of the oldest moving companies in the United States, Bekins Van Lines was founded by brothers John and Martin Bekins in 1891. Present day, they are one of the nation’s largest full-service moving and storage companies with nearly 150 locations throughout the United States. More importantly, Bekins is proud to be using information technology and logistics to ensure moves go smoothly no matter the distance.

Over the years, Bekins has been involved with many firsts and important milestones within the moving industry.

  • Bekins was the first to specialize in moving household goods.
  • When covered moving vans were introduced, they carried the Bekins name.
  • Bekins led the moving and storage business away from horse-drawn wagons with the first motor trucks in 1903.
  • The first concrete and steel warehouses were built by Bekins in 1906.
  • The first transcontinental motor van move was completed by Bekins in 1928.
  • In 1960, Bekins established Bekins World Wide, later known as Bekins International.
  • Bekins became a leader in residential delivery service, later named HomeDirectUSA in 1994.
  • Bekins led an industry consortium to develop the CPM (Certified Professional Movers) program, a CD-ROM based training module in 1995.
  • Bekins became the first van line to earn CPM status in 1996.
  • Bekins is the first van line to install nationwide warehouses and storage management systems to assist in order management and tracking in 1997.
  • Bekins is purchased by Wheaton Van Lines in March 2012.
