Happiest of Holidays from White Glove Moving & Storage

At White Glove Moving & Storage, we are proud to support our community and our staff each holiday season. From bringing toys and food to the various networking events we attend to helping organize large functions to help support our youth and seniors of the Treasure Coast, this is a time of year we truly enjoy.

By working with interior designers, this is often a very busy time of year too. Many customers want their homes ready for entertaining during the holidays and we are thrilled to be of service. Yet, with the extra hours worked leading up to each key holiday from November through the new year, we also enjoy being able to support our team with much needed respite.

Thus, we will be closed on Thanksgiving day re-opening on Nov. 28th. In December, we will closed on Dec. 26th. Come Jan. 2nd, it will be business as usual kicking off a tremendous 2023.

As far a local events and fun to be had, most cities in the Treasure Coast will be hosting their Christmas Parades on Dec. 3rd.  The Treasure Coast Premier Women’s Network will be celebrating the spirit of the season with fun games, prizes and networking. Fortunately, our White Glove team will also have the distinct honor of serving as the poinsettia centerpiece sponsor and emcee for the Women’s Council of Realtors St. Lucie and Martin-Stuart installations. These events are always so exciting and full of joy as we welcome new leadership and members prior to breaking for the holiday.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday season! Interested in hearing some great new talk shows; here you go:

Closing Due to Hurricane Nicole

Though it is rare to have  a storm of this magnitude so late in the year, our offices will be closing out of extreme caution. Much of the earlier part of the week, we were able to reschedule our customers planned for the second half of Wednesdays and Thursday. Our goal is to reopen Friday with business as usual assuming power is restored.

As always, if you are planning a move in the coming months, now is better than later to request your free onsite survey. Demand is high and there are always variables at play, like a big storm, that will make it challenging to honor requests that are just a short while out.

In the meantime, we have some great recent talk radio shows to share. The Treasure Coast Insider provides a great platform to share information about our community and business partners.

Successful Panel Presented by White Glove Moving & Storage

White Glove Moving & Storage hosted a panel of Indian River County’s cities’ leaders and county headship to provide their forecast on what’s ahead in the next 3-5 years entitled: From the Top. Inviting the area’s realtors and community partners, the panel shared their respective jurisdictions’ different vision plans, expectations, and growth projections from North to South, East to West.

Phil Matson, Indian River County Community Development Director, provided links to important programs and data available to real estate pros to better serve their customers. He also explained that thousands of homes and apartments are in the near future to help address housing concerns. City of Sebastian Mayor, Jim Hill spoke of the benefits of a planned community just south of 510 if approved by City Council and residents thought would include parks, modestly priced homes, and more jobs. City of Fellsmere, City Manager, Mark Mathes highlighted the many new homes destinated for the town and attractions that will serve as a nod to the rich history of Fellsmere. Whereas Mayor Robert Brackett for the City of Vero Beach, discussed the exciting economic impact of the Three Corners and its value to residents and guests if approved on the November ballot.

A full breakfast and coffee bar, sponsored by: White Glove Moving, Caliber Home Loans, Lulich & Attorneys, Higganbotham Media and Accurate Home Inspections of South Florida, gave guests a different experience as they followed the balloon path into the Indian River mall. Hosted inside a vacant store in the mall, the audience also received an update on the mall: their competitive retail rental rates, push to host indoor community events and exciting new restaurants mere weeks away from opening. Showcasing the mall’s dedication to giving back to local charities, Little Birthday Angels, a local non-profit housed inside the mall, opened their workshop for guests to visit and tour after the panel.

White Glove Moving & Storage is proud to serve as an ambassador to new families and businesses relocating into and around the area. Providing quality content and top notch moving and storage services, White Glove hosts panels and events annually to provide important information and updates to the region’s realtors and partners.

White Glove Moving & Storage Celebrates 2021 Success with a National Award for Sales & Quality Service

In many ways, 2021 was a tough year for small business owners. Thousands of businesses closed during the beginning of the pandemic to stop the spread. Then was the issues related to staffing resulting from the “great resignation.” Local business, White Glove Moving & Storage, however, has some good news to celebrate: the company earned Bekins Van Lines’ Silver Sales Award for 2021 for their hard work in a challenging environment. Bekins is the fourth largest household goods carrier in the United States, and White Glove, alongside about 400 agencies nationwide, partners with the van line for all their interstate moves. Bekins’ sales recognition award program recognizes agencies within the network who educate customers moving into or out of Florida and book their moves over the course of the year. The volume figures used for the various award levels are a summation of booking revenues for those customers moved. White Glove Moving & Storage is one of only ten Bekins agencies to achieve the Silver Sales Award in 2021.

“The environment has been tough,” said A.J. Schneider, President of Bekins Van Lines. “ White Glove has perfected the art of educating customers on the interstate moving process and setting their expectations for the whole process. They’re really a guide for the customer through what can be a stressful endeavor, so it’s not surprising so many customers want to work with this group.”

Additionally, this local leader is also the recipient of the Spire Award. The Spire program is designed to recognize moving companies in the Bekins Van Lines network that offer quality experiences to those using their services. It combines customer feedback and other Service Excellence performance metrics with data throughout the moving process to determine whether the agent has met the high-quality criteria. White Glove received the distinctive Spire Award again, which honors moving companies in the network that consistently provide an excellent moving experience for their customers, during the recent vanline summit accepted by Principle, Caleb Clements.

“Customer satisfaction is imperative for service companies like ours that earn much of our new business through referrals. We survey customers after their moves and reward agents who earn high marks with the annual Bekins/Wheaton Spire award,” said A.J. Schneider. “We’re proud to announce that White Glove, headquartered in the Treasure Coast of Florida, has treated people so well in 2021 that they have achieved this distinction of quality.”

In summary, the team at White Glove is proud of the work we do to make moving as easy, cost effective and pleasurable as possible. We hope to be a “go-to” resource for you to mention to friends and family who may want to plan a move in the future whether it’s local or nationwide. As always, it is a free estimate and with proper planning and notice; ideal dates can be reserved.

How Valuation Works for Your Move

Without a doubt, moving can be stressful. Of course, over time, many begin to find value in hiring a professional mover versus dealing with doing the hard work themselves. In particular, moving in South Florida can be a real aggravation due to the heat coupled with rules put forth by the various gated communities. Thus, when a customer does take the first step in hiring the pros to make the move that much easier, valuation should be something that is discussed.

In the world of moving and storage, whether the clients are moving locally or nationwide, coverage that is provided to the consumer is not insurance. Rather, it is referred to as valuation coverage and not all movers provide this type of peace of mind to their customers. At White Glove Moving & Storage, we are proud to provide valuation and openly discuss the options it offers during the complimentary survey. Keep in mind, onsite surveys are now performed both in person and virtually. One of the reasons we want to offer both options, is because we enjoy providing pricing and preparing our crews with the real details. That is only possible when our trained teams are able to see what is needing to be move and learn more about the details of where it is going or coming from. This is very true when it comes to interstate moves. As an agent with Bekins Vanlines, we work hard to help our customers understand the specifics of their move while alleviating the stress incurred while juggling the logistics of moving a great distance.

Once the survey is complete, our relocation specialists then take the time to learn more about the customers goods and their expectations of the move. No matter if it is near or far, there are some precautions that our team encourages customers to take to help safe gaurd their items like crating glass tops or custom crates for artwork that has its own lighting. Suggestions such as these are made whether the client chooses to pack themselves or opts for a full pack by the pros. It is important to notate, that which is packed by owner cannot be covered by valuation. No matter how you decide to handle packing, during the conversation, our team knows to ask pertinent questions and can identify high value items that helps to navigate the options of valuation. For example, an antique collectible chandelier worth an appraised value of over seven thousand dollars should be included in the valuation coverage whether it is highlighted as an individual piece or part of the entire shipment. Whereas, a standard rocking chair with no real high value wouldn’t need to be covered on its own, though it would be covered if there was protection taken out for the entire shipment which is based on weight.

Of course, should some sort of a claim arise from a bump of the wall to the accidental dropping of a piece during the off load, there are a few ways that this is addressed when valuation coverage is at play. If it can be fixed, a repair person is sent out as soon as possible to remedy it. Repair over replacement is always encouraged and sometimes this results in no deductible even needing to be paid. Other times, when full replacement of something is a must, the client is given a new item or check minus the deductible fees. Keep in mind, with years of experience under our belt, our team strives to avoid claims to the best of our ability. Still, things do happen and there are a lot of potholes throughout the country that can cause issues during transit. Valuation protection is always encouraged and the cost effective nature of the options makes selecting that coverage an affordable solution for peace of mind for your prized possessions.

Celebrating 20 Years!

As of 2022, our team is thrilled to celebrating 20 years of continual business serving customers moving, storage, and receiving needs throughout the region. As trusted Treasure Coast movers, we take great pride in being able to offer dependable and reliable service. In our twenty years, we have grown in size as a team and in infrastructure. Without a doubt, it has been an incredible journey full of lessons and terrific milestones.

Starting off in a simple warehouse, our current facilities now include three total climate controlled warehouse with numerous loading docks and a fleet of sixteen trucks. Year to date, we have performed upwards of 40,000 moves and deliveries. Each time, we are able to improve upon our skillset and strive to continue that growth and dedication. When we first formed, we catered almost exclusively to interior design firms and now we are full fledged professional movers providing long haul services as an interstate agent with Bekins van lines.

Additionally, we are proud of is our ability to help our community. Since 2002, we have gained loyal customers for a variety of reasons yet nearly all comment on how they appreciate our dedication to the charities and community wide events throughout the Treasure Coast. Some of those favorite events include: Gardenfest, Artsfest, Under the Oaks, Senior Resource Association, Move for Hunger, Treasure Coast Food Bank, Women’s Council of Realtors St. Lucie and Martin Counties, Little Birthday Angels, Madison’s Miracles, Little Leagues, Chambers of Commerce, Environmental Learning Center and so many more.  Beyond assisting local charities and community events, we greatly enjoy supporting the families of our team members from youth sports to advancement in their education.

Thus, as we look ahead to our 20th birthday, it is with great appreciation we share this honor to our incredible customers and referral sources. Hosting a local talk radio show and three monthly networking luncheons, it’s a complete joy to have a deep understanding of the ins and outs of the Treasure Coast.  Should you have fun stories or reviews to share about your experience with White Glove Moving & Storage over the years, we welcome them and hope to put together  compellations of them all as a recap of twenty years of success with many more year ahead.
