White Glove Moving & Storage Takes Home National Honor

Local moving company earns distinctive van line award for hauling household goods.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) continues to legislate for safer conditions on U.S. roads, something Bekins Van Lines – winner of the 2024 Fleet Safety Award in the Over 10 Million Miles category – works hard to support. White Glove represents a big part of those more than 10 million safe miles, enough to earn Bekins Van Lines’ 2024 Bronze Hauling Award.

Bekins Van Lines is the fourth largest household goods carrier in the United States, and White Glove – alongside more than 350 agencies nationwide – partners with the van line for all interstate moves. Bekins’ hauling award program recognizes agencies within the network who transport the goods of customers moving into or out of Florida over the course of the year. The volume figures used for the various award levels are a summation of transportation revenues for those customers moved.

“We’re proud of receiving the 2024 Fleet Safety award on behalf of our drivers and agencies, who work day in and day out to make sure our roads are safe,” said Mark Kirschner, CEO of Bekins Van Lines. “White Glove is a key partner that allows Bekins’ customers to enjoy great service.”

White Glove Moving, Storage & Delivery is one of just 13 Bekins agencies to achieve the Bronze Hauling Award in 2024. This is the [ordinal, i.e. fifth] Bronze Hauling Award for White Glove.

White Glove can be found at 2175 45th St. Vero Beach, FL or contacted at [772-778-4750.

Q&A with White Glove President, Caleb Clements

Celebrating 22 years as trusted moving and storage providers, White Glove proudly calls the Treasure Coast home and cherishes its role as a community partner. Recently, we had a Q&A session with White Glove’s President, Caleb Clements, to discuss the industry and share insights on trends amidst our rapidly growing population.

Q: The secret is out that the Treasure Coast is a desirable place to live because of its overall safety, and “affordability with a coastline.”  Are newcomers choosing new construction or pre-built homes? What is the split of those coming from another state versus elsewhere in Florida?

A: New construction is very attractive right now for those who do not want the maintenance older homes require.  Homeowners’ insurance is also easier to get and at a greater savings for new construction. So, we are seeing a lot of our customers opt for the new resort type of communities found throughout our area and the state.

At White Glove Moving & Storage, we are proud of our new construction expertise and protocols, making the experience as seamless as possible for our customers.  As an interstate agent with Bekins Vanlines, we help families relocate both into and out of Florida with ease, doing as much or as little as they need done. Yet, there are many folks coming to the Treasure Coast from south Florida who enjoy the slower speed our cities have to offer.

Wherever your move takes you, we provide free estimates and bound pricing. Our team was recently recognized as Bekins Van Lines’ Agent of the Year. With our exceptional crew, we take pride in offering competitive rates without hidden fees. As a Torch Award-winning company with an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, we are committed to excellence. After all, as Benjamin Franklin wisely noted, “The bitterness of poor quality far outlasts the sweetness of a cheap price.”

Q: Homes priced right are selling as quick as 1-4 months. What happens if someone does not know where they are moving to yet?

A: The average new construction house can take 12-18 months to complete. Since day one, White Glove has been able to alleviate the stress of where prized possessions can be kept safe. Our unique warehouses, equipped with loading docks and top-notch security, provide climate and humidity-controlled storage for our customers complete with detailed inventory lists of their items ensuring everything we bring in comes out on move day.

Unlike the many self-serve storage facilities popping up all over, our full-service storage does not allow unsupervised access to anyone and requires an appointment to view the inventory. We are the best solution for those who want to take advantage of a stress-free storage solution where the only detail needed is your move out date. The best part is that this comes at an incredibly competitive price point.

Q: What about homeowners who wish to renovate?

Moving and storage solutions for renovations is a big part of our business. For contractors to do their jobs, be it new flooring or fresh paint, having household items out of the way makes the entire process faster and better.  Our trained movers can simply shift items within one’s home or bring it all into our storage facility for as long as needed; no long term storage commitments required.

Q: Many say hiring a professional moving company is too expensive or have heard horror stories. Why choose White Glove?

Choosing the cheapest mover is the common denominator of the horror stories shared about unethical moving brokers who take deposits and never show or worse, hold items hostage until a higher fee is paid. Our team is two decades strong because we support local and do right by our customers and employees. Our relocation specialists spend the time to understand the customers’ needs, educate them on the moving process, and offer up tips to ensure the relocation goes as easy and stress free as possible. We do not spend money on billboards or pay to sponsor a professional sports team, rather we support local youth sports and charities headquartered here. We do not require deposits and stand by our pricing because every move requires an in-home or virtual survey. I am proud of my team and the good work we do. At White Glove, we aim to be your top choice for movers and deliver the best moving experience possible.

Top Producer Panel 2024

In Florida, the real estate market is shifting and slowing. Recently, the Women’s Council of Realtors of Stuart-Martin conducted a Top Producers Panel at the beautiful Sandhill Cove Retirement Living campus. Six of the region’s most established and leadership oriented agents participated to share their insights and advice to a sold out audience.
As a trusted affiliate with the organization, White Glove Moving & Storage was happy to help support the event as a sponsor and moderator of the panel questions. Anna Valencia Tillery, Director of Marketing for White Glove, invited each panelist up to the stage one by one with the help of their bios beginning with:

Christy Bearse, CPA, ABR®, CLHMS™ GUILD™, GRI, PSA, REALTOR® who we learned came to Florida in 1992 and has a love of numbers having earned her Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts. With a forte in representing golf communities and waterfront, Christy is the Martin County Realtors of the Treasure Coast (MCRTC) President-Elect and was named 2012 REALTOR® of the Year for Martin County Realtors® of the Treasure Coast, who just so happens to love all dogs and bicycling.

Roz DeGraff, celebrating 22 years in the business is a renowned Treasure Coast top producer and holds a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation while also being certified in Senior Real Estate, Distressed properties, and Luxury Home Specialist. Prior to real estate, Roz was as valued Delta upper management professional overseeing the Service, Sales, and Training departments yet much of her heart belongs to our nation’s proud veterans and her husband of 35 years, Roger. They are members Vietnam Veterans of America, Martin County Chapter 1041 and assisted in facilitating the Commemorative Bricks sale and installation in Stuart’s Memorial Park and the Military of Purple Heart Memorial inside Indian Riverside Park.

John Gonzalez is the managing broker of Engel & Völkers Stuart who, as a young boy, accompanied his father on his appointments to preview homes and development sites throughout South Florida and the Treasure Coast. Along the way, John owned a successful food service business, served as an investment advisor, and was the vice president of a large regional bank. Originally licensed to sell real estate in 1981, he returned to the estate industry in 2003 and has been holding key leadership roles within the industry ever since including being the 2019 MCRTC President and RPAC chair.

Susan Maxwell, proudly celebrating 20 years in real estate has multiple designations including: Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, Certified Listing Professional, Certified distressed property specialist. In addition to being a loving mother and wife, she is the lead agent in a team of 8 Realtors in addition to an admin and marketing specialist, in all closing about 135 transaction per year. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running and boating and most recently, golf.

With over 41 years of experience in the world of real estate, HB Warren with the Keyes Company offered up his expertise as an agent who works almost exclusively in residential and rental properties yet comes from an extensive background of master planning large community developments. In the industry, HB’s leadership roles include: Florida Realtors District 3 Vice President, FR Land Use and Sustainable Development Chair, FR Resort and Second Home Chair, MCRTC Past-President, President, President Elect, Vice President, Director, Strategic Planning, Government Affairs, Golf/Habitat for Humanity, RPAC, Awards, Finance, Nominating, Holiday Event Task Force, Value Proposition Task Force, Public Relations Task Force, and Commercial Task Force. He and his wife of 41 years have been residents of Martin County for over 30 years and feel fortunate to witness the growth of this charming coastal community.

Lastly, Andy Spears, MCRTC 2021 and 2022 President of MCRTC and 2022 Realtor of the Year, is a skilled negotiator with an MBA from Carnagie Mellon University, The Wharton School. He Specialties in residential, investment property, waterfront, boating and golf communities and relocation. Andy was raised in Martin County and is graduate of Martin County High School and the University of Florida.

The questions covered topics ranging from the value of working on a real estate team to methods of handling the real estate market downturns. Interestingly, each panelist embraced an appreciation for technology and modern outlooks while keeping the human aspect of every transaction at the root of their success. Whether in the world of real estate or within civic groups, all the panelists found value in taking on leadership roles and establishing themselves as experts has gotten them additional business as well as exposure over the years.

White Glove was able to share some its value by offering up numbers strategically placed at each table and giving the fresh basil plant serving as the centerpieces to the lucky winner in the chair that had the hidden number on it. 22 represented the company’s number of years in business, perfecting its craft. 0 was for the cost of an estimate whether in person or virtually. 133 was the length of time our interstate vanline, Bekins, has been around offering up long-distance moving services. $1200 gave guests an idea of the average cost for a local move. Whereas, 52 showcased the number of employees and livelihoods we support and 30+ highlighted the number of charities and organization we collaborate with. Yet, it was the final number of 16 that bore repeating because it gives peace of mind to customers should items need to stay on a truck due to hiccups at closing or for the assurance that large jobs can be done in one fell swoop as needed. It was impactful to make that point and then show off the new edition of Treasure Coast Home & Living with assorted sized trucks from the White Glove Moving & Storage fleet adorning the cover.

With a delicious lunch, impressively renovated venue , top producing agents, quality guests, and a well constructed committee, the event was well executed and will be a memorable learning experience for all who attended.

Moving with Pets: Advice & Tips

Whether moving across the street or country, moving with a pet can add some extra stress to a move. Will your pet like the new space? Are they able to fly or will you have to drive? What if there is a delay in the delivery and if so, how will that affect your pets’ comfort? With over 22 years of moving experience, our White Glove Moving team has some really useful tips to share along with the help of our vanline, Bekins:

Remember, choosing to have an onsite complementary survey prior to your move is the best way to be educated about the entire process. With 52 full time employees, we have the ability to make moves of all sizes and distances a reality. Keeping in mind, demand is still high and proper planning with at least 2-4 weeks advanced notice is best to ensure dates and expectations are all met with ease. The estimate takes approximately one hour and can be done in person or virtually utilizing smart phone technology. It is our sincere wish to be the movers you choose to help make your relocation as cost effective and pleasurable as possible. Happy planning!

Bekins Spire and Top Customer Service Award Winners

Being a trusted moving and storage partner in the Treasure Coast of Florida is rewarding. In 2024, White Glove Moving & Storage is celebrating 22 years of continued service. In part, because of the hard work and dedication of our team along with great systems and software to ensure a smooth moving experience. Another part, because of our ability to help with the moving needs of our “neighbors” when they aren’t just going from one house to the next locally, it is when a bigger, much longer move is needed.

From our relocation experts onsite getting the details correct, to the our long haul coordinator putting all the pieces and drivers together, to the Bekins umbrella itself; we are able to give them a worry free move from start to finish. It makes us proud to perform such good work while also earing their praise in the community.

  2. Minimum of 10 customer NPS ratings.
  3. Customer Experience Report (CXR) response rate (CXRs received/delivered orders) that is equal to or better than the network CXR response rate. We are thrilled to be recognized

Next, we are happy to report being a Spire Award recipient as well. This award recognizes Wheaton | Bekins agents who have achieved “Excellent” or “Very Good” scores in four of the eight Quality benchmarks, and in four of the eight Customer Experience Report (CXR) benchmarks, with no “Poor” scores for the calendar year.

A Testimonial That Means So Much!

Without a doubt, White Glove Moving & Storage takes pride in being a top notch mover. Our relationship with Bekins Vanlines allows us to help people relocate over state lines into and out of Florida, it is a great relationship! So, with a great reputation locally earning referrals from realtors and residents from the Treasure Coast to family members and clients moving to the region are often passed along to us.  Though, the term White Glove is not the same as our company and the name itself can be used by others in other states. Sometimes potential customers can be mistaken when just doing a simple online search and that is what happened in this story shared by Kurt Gradel on the Treasure Coast Insider.

Listen here.

As always, White Glove enjoys serving the needs of our customers and being a good place to work for our staff.
