Influential Women in Real Estate Panel

The Women’s Council of Realtors Stuart-Martin hosted their annual Panel sponsored by White Glove Moving & Storage on Aug. 13th. Inside the auditorium of the Martin County Realtors of the Treasure Coast, the distinguished panel of realtors gave insights and shared their stories as well as expertise to a room full of fellow agents and affiliates alike. Keri Burgess with Remax Stuart, Joan Rogers with the Horsepower Team at Berkshire Hathaway, and Stacy Little with the GPS Group at Compass were our headliners.

Serving as the moderator and sponsor, Anna Valencia Tillery, highlighted the top three reasons to recommend White Glove Moving & Storage:

  1. We are guaranteed to show up. Many movers in south Florida, take money and never even show; that will not happen with White Glove.
  2. We require no deposits, no hidden fees…we value our referral partners and can accommodate most change requests if communicated promptly. Best part no credit card processing fees, so get those points!
  3. The team is celebrating more than 20+ years, headquartered on the Treasure Coast, happy and able to ensure referrals shine every time and that we give to local charities, causes as best we can. If doing business with a local company that gives back to groups you value, is important to you…don’t hesitate to refer White Glove.

Then, five lucky winners received “stepping stones” to put in their gardens as a symbol of “we all are on a journey in our careers and company’s success, each day is a stepping stone.”

It was a fun prelude to the nuggets of knowledge set to be shared by the all star panel.

Their questions for each of the seasoned women in real estate were as follows:

  • For each panelist, who has been your biggest mentor or advocate, and how did they shape your career?
  • Let’s delve into some one person questions, Keri, the tech of today will be a thing of the past in no time, yet it wasn’t anything just 20+ years ago. How has technology changed the way you serve clients?
  • Not that you ladies have a crystal ball, yet Stacey what trends do you believe will have the biggest impact on real estate over the next five years?
  • Joan, having grown up in the world of real estate, how do you define success beyond sales volume or transactions?
  • Let’s take that a step further and for each of you ladies, what habits or routines have contributed most to your success?
  • Joan, If you could change one misconception people have about real estate professionals, what would it be?
  • Keri, you have  a passion for animals (in particular dogs) as much as you do for real estate,  What legacy do you hope to leave in the real estate industry?
  • Stacey, for folks thinking about joining a team, what are some of your key points to share?
  • What is a bit of advice you wish to share with the next generation of women entering real estate?

For the lightning round they were asked:

  • Biggest real estate myth?
  • Best book or podcast for business growth?
  • One word that describes great leadership?

With a few minutes yet in the program, each attendee was given a chance to state their name and company as well as why they attended the day’s event. It was great to hear all the reasons and know that so many of the professionals in the room found ongoing education to be so rewarding. With a few prizes to give away, we ended the meeting on a real high note and the event adjourned.  This luncheon was so uplifting with the biggest takeaway being…treat everyday and every task as a bigger picture to your business’ success.
