Gifford Youth Achievement Center YEP

As active business members in the community, White Glove Moving & Storage was pleased to sponsor the Indian River Chamber of Commerce breakfast in May of 2026. After the interactive presentation,  Director, Jay Lundy Sr. expressed his enthusiasm about the good work White Glove does in the area and that he had a program available with a young man who expressed interest in learning more about the moving and storage industry.

After a few meetings and to do lists we were were excited to bring in Tremar for a hands-on summer of learning. At the end a banquet was held to celebrate 5 years of GYAC’s Youth Employability Program (YEP). The event blended the 2026 cohort close-out and awards celebration. It also featured a “courtside” chat where employers and students shared their experiences from this summer. Best part, awards to the YEP students who participated in their summer internships were given with photos and a standing ovation.

It has been said that movers and truck drivers are experiencing a shortage as the next generation gravitates to different trades and careers. To help foster an appreciation for the industry in this young man was rewarding and we look forward to the next one!
