Battle of the Realtors: Supporting Little Birthday Angels

After Hurricane Milton in October of 2024, the Little Birthday Angels annual Battle of the Realtors event was postponed until the new year. As a result, more than 25 teams joined together at Vero Bowl to celebrate the good work of the organization and raise dollars through spirit competitions and as much bowling as possible in 1.5 hours.  Supporting the cause as sponsors, bowlers, and emcee, White Glove Moving & Storage proudly placed second in the competitive showdown with Keller Williams of Vero Beach , who took 1st place, and Coldwell Banker Paradise led by Vance Brinkerhoff, placing 3rd.

In the end, the real winners will be the children who are going to be able to feel special on their birthdays because of the money generated through the efforts of all the teams and companies alike who gave. With hundreds of children identified as homeless through the school system, Little Birthday Angels works to ensure they are celebrated and are not forgotten on their special day. Whether it is a monthly birthday party complete with cupcakes and games at the various homeless shelters, or an individualized duffel bag with items from their wishlist and lots of essentials; they are shown love. At White Glove Moving & Storage, we understand the need and give of our time and energy to this non-profit because birthdays are important. Each month, we celebrate our team members with cards and cake. Small gestures all add up to big impacts when people, no matter their age, feel seen and appreciated. Happy to be a part of the good work being done. Until next bowling match!

White Glove Moving Places 2nd in Annual Battle of the Realtors

Little Birthday Angels is a Treasure Coast non-profit that strives to celebrate the birthdays of every child that is registered as homeless throughout the region. They are able to collaborate with each school district and the homelessness liaison onsite to get the information as to whether these kids and their families are in shelters or living in cars, tents, or even couch surfing. By collecting that data along eith their birthdays, age, clothing and shoe size, and wish list the team of volunteers go to task to procure the items and distribute them.

The distribution is an incredible feat  and is two-fold. For those kids staying in shelters, a birthday party is hosted each month complete with decorations, cake, games, presents, pictures, and more. The other children are given gifts by way of a large black duffel bag at school. Inside is chock full of toiletries, clothes, shoes, toy, lap desk, and more. The cost of each bag is roughly $220 and the demand is sadly quite high with nearly 1,000 students in need.

For the past four years, the realtors of the area along with trusted affiliates have banned together for a night of spirited fun to raise awareness and dollars for the cause. Not only does White Glove Moving form a team to play since year one, our Director of Marketing, Anna Valencia Tillery serves as the emcee while also being a sponsor of the event.

White Glove Moving & Storage proudly took home 2nd place with Caleb Clements, Terry Wright, Rick Copher, and Mike Carter at the helm scoring over 700 points. First place went to Keller Williams of Vero Beach and third place to the Coldwell Banker Paradise team led by Vance Brinkerhoff. Remax Crown won for team spirit which included elaborate costumes and a Evil Knievel on a bike shooting out of a ring of faux fire; what a night and all for a great cause!
